• Leave your bandage on for at least one hour but do not exceed four hours.

  • Remove the bandage once you are in a clean environment. Gently wash the entire tattooed area with a mild, antibacterial soap. DO NOT SCRUB. Pat the area dry with a clean paper towel and do not apply a new bandage.

  • Fresh tattoos can "leak" some of the ink out. This is probably not the best time to sleep on light colored sheets or wearing clothing over the tattooed area which you do not want stained.

  • The surface of the tattoo will take between two to three weeks to heal. After each cleaning apply a thin coat of scent free lotion. Over saturating the area can impede the healing process, the skin only needs to be moist. Avoid Neosporin like products, they are made of petroleum which does not let the skin breath and heal.

  • After a few days of healing the tattoo will scab. Resist every urge to pick the scabs as it will lift and remove the color, damaging your new artwork. If the itching is unbearable lightly slap the area.

  • Until the tattoo is fully healed avoid soaking it in showers, baths, the ocean, hot tubs, lakes, pools and any other large body of liquid you may like to luxuriate in. Keep it out of direct sun or tanning beds while healing. SPF will be your tattoo's best friend going forward.
